We are excited to announce the Boom Box update for Traction Control! This update includes a radio, one new car, and other improvements. Try it out now and let us know what you think! 

Boom Box:
In game music via a player controlled radio: Tried to cast a wide net in terms of genres, so hopefully there's something in there you like.

The Samurai:
Our new car. A missile with wheels. Uses boost like crazy but the payoff in speed should make it a worthy competitor.

Ring Challenges:
We added two new ring challenges bringing the total to 70

 Crashing:
-With the exception of The Boar, all cars have seen significant reductions in their durability, increasing instances of crashing. The intent behind this change is to bring back some of the elements of risk/reward present in prior versions of the game.
-The Boar has been made much more durable than the other cars.
-Crashing can be frustrating if the balance is not struck properly, and we'll continue to tweak these values.
-Player cars are immune to crashing when in free play mode in explorer. This choice was made because its more fun to experiment with the cars in explorer mode, and heavy amounts of crashing can greatly detract from that experience. However, cars will be prone to crashing when participating in either Freestyler or Trailblazer game modes, as well as when in a ring challenge. The hope is that this will maintain a level of balance between the cars while ensuring that they can be used risk free when there is no progression at stake.

Minor Gameplay Tweaks:
-All cars have had slight tweaks to handling
-Handling improvements, specifically with regards to braking. Instances of losing traction when decelerating have been reduced
-The Boar's size is more in line with other cars
-Tree foliage is now transparent when viewed from the inside, with the intent to improve visibility when driving through trees
-Multiplayer cars move more smoothly & accurately
-Gravity has been increased slightly

-Various tweaks and bug fixes
